Statement:  This meeting is being held in conformance with The Sunshine Law.  Notice of time, date and place has been furnished to The Ridgewood News and posted on the bulletin board of the Administration Building. 

 

In the absence of Mayor Toolen Council President McKenna called a budget meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Waldwick to order on Saturday, January 11, 2003 at 8: 30 a.m. in the conference room of the Administration Building.

 

Present on Roll Call: Councilman Barthold

                                    Councilman Marino

                                    Councilman McKenna

                                    Councilwoman O’Dwyer

                                    Councilman Rizzotti

 

Absent:  Mayor Toolen – arrived at 8:40 a.m.

              Councilman Campbell – arrived at 8:37 a.m.

 

Also Present:  Gary Kratz, Administrator

                        Paula M. Jaegge, Municipal Clerk

                        MaryAnn Viviani, CFO

 

In the absence of Mayor Toolen, Council President McKenna explained the procedure for the capital and water capital budgets.

 

*  Mr. Campbell arrived at this time – 8:37 a.m.

 

Mr. McKenna asked Mr. Kratz to lead the discussion with regard to projects and ordinances.

Mayor Toolen turned the meeting over to Mr. Campbell, Finance Chairman

 

Administration

 

Project A-6, Rehab of the Tennis Courts was deleted


Project A-11, Add Bathroom to Fire House #2 in the amount of $40,000 was deferred to 2004

 

Project A-14, Community Improvement in the amount of $25,000 was added

Project D16, Spare Pump for Malcolm St. in the amount of $13,000 was deferred to 2004

 

Project D18, Small Backhoe – the total of $40,000 was deleted

 

Library

 

Project L-5, Window Treatments for $10,000 was split.  $5,000 was put in 2003 and $5,000 was put in 2004

 

 

Police

 

Project P3, Traffic Trailer in the amount of $24,000 moved to 2004

 

It was noted that the next budget meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, January 21st at 7:30 p.m. 

 

Adjournment

 

There being nothing further before the Mayor and Council, the meeting adjourned at 11:00 a.m.  No objections, so authorized.
